TAX DOCUMENTS FOUND IN ATLANTA DUMPSTER
My Fox Atlanta – Atlanta, Georgia

December 2, 2009- Tax records, mortgage applications, and other sensitive documents were found intact in the dumpster of an Atlanta accountant. Discovered by a local citizen, the incident is being investigated by the Georgia Office of Consumer Affairs. The documents should have been shredded, and CPA Gregg Bossen, the owner of the records, could not explain why they weren’t.  The state of Georgia was the first state to adopt and enforce a law requiring secure document destruction.
