NAID-CANADA CONFERENCE RECEIVES HIGH PRAISE
The response to the 2009 NAID-Canada Conference held in Toronto last week can be summed up in two words; “Great Sessions.” Of course, this is no surprise to conference planners who were always confident that the impressive line up of world class speakers would deliver.
From the opening keynote, featuring Dr. Ann Cavoukian’s unveiling of the Health Information Destruction Guidelines created jointly with NAID (see story below), to the closing session by Bob Johnson on new regulatory requirements, the audience was interested and engaged.
As NAID-Canada Conference chairperson Wendy Banting puts it “When you put 8 of the most recognized information protection professionals in one room, people are going to pay attention.”
Other speakers included Jeff Green, the Chief Compliance Officer of Royal Canadian Bank, and a member of the Board of the International Association of Privacy Professionals and Joanne McNabb, Chief of the California Office of Privacy Protection.
