NAID : News : CSDS Education Resources Released Thursday

CSDS EDUCATION RESOURCES RELEASED THURSDAY

Much as been written about next year’s launch of the Certified Secure Destruction Specialist^® (CSDS^®), where industry professionals will be able to demonstrate their competence on a wide range of secure destruction subject areas through an accreditation process.

On Thursday, July 22nd, NAID will release a preliminary list of educational materials upon which the test will largely be based. Much of the material will be downloadable at no charge, especially those documents for which NAID is the source. Some materials, generated outside of NAID, will have to be acquired directly from the source. In those cases, NAID will provide the information required to obtain them. In other instances, specifically the NAID CTK, separate training is required prior to access. The next CTK Training Opportunity starts in August (see article below).

Some materials are still in development, such as the ASTM/ANSI Health and Safety Guidelines. However, they will be released well in advance of the testing.

Thursday’s release will also provide information on CSDS Training Opportunities and a FREE CDSD Webinar that will be offered on Monday, August 2nd at 2:00 PM EST and again on August 3rd at 11 AM EST.
