NAID TO HOLD FREE BRIEFING ON HEALTH AND HUMAN SERVICES RULEMAKING
NAID recently released information on the Health and Human Services’ (HHS) newly published Modifications to the HIPAA Privacy, Security, and Enforcement Rules under the Health Information Technology for Economic and Clinical Health Act.
On July 14th the proposed modifications were officially published in the Federal Register. This date, therefore, will mark the beginning of a 60-day period during which HHS will accept public comment on proposed changes. That comment period will end on September 13th.
On August 24, 2010 at 11 AM EST, NAID will hold a Free Webinar to provide a briefing on the industry-related ramifications of the proposed modifications, as well as NAID’s overall comments. The event will be open to the general public at no charge, though registration will be required and the number of participants will be limited. The briefing will be recorded and available after the event. The registration form will be linked in the next edition of NAIDDirect, published in early August.
